The eye protection devices, that you can find in our King Kong Work store, fall under personal protective equipment for eyesight and are intended to ensure safety in the workplace.
To ensure due protection, they must meet statutory requirements, which are those of quality and European regulatory certification. The eye protection systems are divided into different types depending on the risks to which the worker is exposed. Precisely to accommodate all the various types of hazards, the visual protection devices differ from each other in materials, composition and structure, and must respond to the specific hazards for which they were designed. The standard of protective eyewear UNI EN 166:2001 regulates the use of acronyms on the frame and lens of these PPE. The regulations state that in work protective eyewear, both the frame and the lens must be marked.
