Safety glasses in different types (welding goggles, construction site goggles, laboratory goggles, medical goggles, anti-splash goggles) depending on the risks to which the worker is exposed. Precisely to accommodate all the various types of hazards, occupational protective eyewear differs from one another in materials, composition and structure, and must respond to the specific hazards for which it was designed. The work glasses standard UNI EN 166:2001 regulates the use of acronyms on the frame and lens of these individual devices. The regulations state that both the frame and the lens must be marked in work glasses.
